Brockhole Visitor Information Centre is on the main A road from Bowness to Ambleside and provides a wealth of interesting information, activities and ideas for the visitor.
The views from the grounds to the Lake and the nearby fells are simply spectacular. Brockhole's grounds run right down to the Lake. In fact, the ferry stops here to drop off and pick up passengers as it travels up and down Windermere.
As well as the ubiquitous gift shop and tea rooms, there are permanent and visiting exhibitions and knowledgeable staff here to help you to understand the history and environment of the Lake District.
