Brockhole is the popular Lake District Visitor Information Centre and is easily found on the road from Bowness to Ambleside. It is a great place to find out more about the Lake District, in beautiful surroundings, As well as a tea room and a gift shop, there a many well marked paths in the grounds along the lake, beautiful gardens, treasure hunts (orienteering courses) for children and adults alike and a fantastic, huge adventure playground.
The Centre hosts many activities throughout the year for families and all ages, such as skating in the winter, survival skills in the summer and wildlife walks all year round. It's well worth checking out their programme.
